Road Trip to Alaska | Yellowstone National Park | Alaska Wedding, Lifestyle, and Portrait Photographer

By the time we arrived at Yellowstone National Park, we were in great need of some rest. We booked two nights at Silver Gate Cabins outside the Northeast gate of Yellowstone in Silver Gate, Montana.  If you ever make a trip to Yellowstone, I would highly recommend this spot! it was the cutest little town not even 5 minutes from the gate with several options for lodging and the most delicious restaurant, Log Cabin Cafe.  I believe we had three meals here because we loved it so much.

We spent the first day driving up through one portion of the park before crashing at our cabin.  The next day (that we intended for resting) we drove to some more areas of the park, stopping to walk out and explore a little in hopes that we would find more and more wildlife. We also hiked up to see Mammoth Hot Springs, which in my opinion was not the most exciting thing we saw at Yellowstone.  However, it was still just neat seeing a hot spring! During our time at Yellowstone we saw buffalo, elk, pronghorn sheep, mountain goats, and a bear with her cubs. The park is so huge, we are hoping to make a trip back soon to explore the whole thing!
